Willie has relocated!
Willie moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts in August, 2005. He is playing live and developing projects at Harvard University and around the country. He is painting (see the "Visual Art" page), composing, creating an archive of his 1970s recordings, and is directing the effort to revitalize "Strike at the Wind!" See the links page for more information!

Willie returns home to North Carolina several times a year for shows and other projects, so be sure to stay in touch!

Dustin Lowery and Downs Lane!

Willie's son Dustin Lowery has begun a new music project, Downs Lane, with members of Piece by Piece. Their sound is hard rock and they are playing to crowds in Fayetteville, Atlanta, and other cities in the Southeast. Click on the "links" page and visit their website!
Corey and Clint Lowery sign a recording contract with Warner Brothers!
Willie's oldest sons, Corey and Clint Lowery, have recently signed a record deal with Warner Brothers! Their new band is called Dark New Day, you can check out their website and hear their music by going to the "Links" page and clicking on the "Dark New Day" link.

"Strike at the Wind!" completes its 30th anniversary season!

Willie is the composer and music director for "Strike at the Wind!," a long-running musical outdoor drama that tells the story of Lumbee hero and outlaw Henry Berry Lowry. After closing in 2003, Willie has been instrumental in revitalizing the drama and it re-opened in 2006, under the leadership of the Carolina Arts Network.
